The LoqDriveT 250 SPR is a portable hard disk drive that uses state of the art fingerprint authentication technology to prevent unauthorized access to its data. The fingerprint recognition unit is fully self-contained within the LoqDrive enclosure.
Therefore, it cannot be compromised by external hacker software or insecure operating systems. When an authorized user has been successfully authenticated, the keys required to access the disk media are passed directly to the disk controller using the i-LoqT protocol. In that way, they are secured and never exposed.

Funtional Overview
The security is further enhanced by using external applications, such as encryption and access management software. The LoqDrive is also compatible with all virus protection programs, backup utilities, and partition managers. The LoqDrive comes bundled with a suite of security software. Encryption software enables the user to securely hide and encrypt vital files, folders, and applications.
The LoqDrive hard disk drive is connected to a PC using the USB interface and can be used just like an ordinary hard disk drive. Since the
fingerprint system is fully contained inside the LoqDrive, it is not necessary to install any software on the PC for normal operations. Once the drive is unlocked with a fingerprint, it behaves exactly like all other disk drives and may be used with
existing applications and encryption software. Loqware's i-Loq protocol secures the communication between the fingerprint authentication module and the disk controller to prevent interception or replay attacks.
